Waupun Memorial Hospital staff supports Waupun Food Pantry

WAUPUN – SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital Medical Staff has donated $5,000 to the Waupun Food Pantry.

“I am so proud of how the SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital Medical Staff is so engaged and supportive of our community, and this donation is just one example,” DeAnn Thurmer, SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital president, said. “We have so many wonderful community members in our area who all pull together to lend a helping hand. It is a collective effort to counter the effects of food insecurity.”

Terri Respalje, Waupun Food Pantry manager, said the pantry continues to see a need.

“We’re getting more families in addition to senior citizens and single people we are serving,” Respalje said. “We want children to be able to go to school healthy so they can advance. That’s so important. This kind donation will help greatly supply the food pantry.”
