APPLETON – Mini golf, arcade games and nonstop fun – all under one roof.
Ally Gwidt, marketing director at Tomsons of Appleton, said that’s how she would describe the City of Appleton’s newest all-ages entertainment destination – Tommy’s Mini Golf & Arcade.
Located on the lower level of the building at 3950 N. Richmond St., Gwidt said Tommy’s Mini Golf, Tom’s Drive-In and Holidays Pub & Grill are under the operational eye of Tomsons of Appleton.
“Tommy’s Mini Golf is on the lower level of the building, right below Tom’s and Holidays,” she said. “The vision behind Tommy’s was to create an all-ages entertainment destination that complements the dining experience above at Tom’s and Holidays.”
Gwidt said the idea was to give guests a place where they can eat, drink and play all in one location.
“From family outings and birthday parties to date nights and group events, Tommy’s was designed to be a fun, engaging space that brings people together and keeps them coming back,” she said.
Gwidt said the existing space was reimagined and completely transformed into an immersive indoor entertainment venue.
“The buildout included designing and constructing a full glow-in-the-dark mini golf course, upgrading electrical and lighting to support arcade and simulator equipment and creating a layout that flows well for families, couples and groups,” she said. “The goal was to turn unused space into a vibrant destination that’s fun year-round.”
Gwidt said work on the lower level began in March 2025, and six months later, Tommy’s officially opened for business on Sept. 6.
Unlike traditional golf courses in the area – which typically have an outdoor season of approximately seven months – Gwidt said the management group doesn’t expect business to drop off at Tommy’s during the warmer months.
“We are anticipating it to be a destination for families all year due to the amount we have to offer and the traction at Holidays and Tom’s,” she said. “We don’t think Tommy’s will be weather-dependent.”
Unique offerings
What separates Tommy’s from other indoor entertainment centers around the area, Gwidt said, is the number of offerings all in one location – glow-in-the-dark indoor mini golf, a modern arcade and a golf simulator.
“Again, that’s all under one roof – and within the same property as a full-service restaurant and bar,” she said. “It’s a unique, all-in-one entertainment experience.”
Tommy’s 18 holes of mini golf, Gwidt said, are split into two immersive themes:
- Nine holes of a retro ’80s theme
- Nine holes of the under-the-sea theme
“Each hole is designed to be fun for all ages and skill levels, with colorful visuals, creative obstacles and plenty of photo-worthy moments,” she said.

The arcade, Gwidt said, includes more than 20 games, with a mix of classic favorites and modern hits.
“Guests will find classics like Skee-Ball, air hockey, Pac-Man and claw machines, along with newer games such as Piano Keys, Connect 4 Basketball and ‘The Walking Dead,’” she said. “There is something for everyone, from kids to adults.”
Another option at Tommy’s, Gwidt said, is the golf simulator, which features a single bay that can be rented to play a full 18 holes of virtual golf on a variety of courses or to practice a swing.
“In addition to golf, the simulator also offers fun mini sports games, including basketball, football, soccer, dodgeball and more,” she said.
Gwidt said the simulator is a great option for groups where not everyone wants to play traditional golf.
“The simulator can be rented out and offers full food and drink service from Holidays and Tom’s,” she said.
Additionally, Gwidt said Tommy’s offers a party room, with private and semi-private party options perfect for birthdays, team outings, family gatherings and school groups.
“Our party spaces are designed to give your group a comfortable place to gather, eat, open gifts and celebrate,” she said.
Gwidt said party room features include:
- Dedicated party room space for your group
- Access to the 18-hole, glow-in-the-dark mini golf course
- Arcade games for all ages
- Optional golf simulator add-on
- Flexible packages for different group sizes
- Convenient food and drink options available through Holidays or Tom’s
Though Tommy’s has only been open since the beginning of September, Gwidt said the response has been “extremely positive.”
“Families, groups and couples love having a fun indoor entertainment option in Appleton, especially one that’s connected to great food and drinks,” she said. “We’ve also seen strong interest in birthday parties, group outings and private events.”

Hours for Tommy’s are from 3-9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Sunday.
