DE PERE – AmeriLux International – a De Pere-based plastic sheets distributor and fabricator – and Brett Martin, a United Kingdom-based thermoplastic innovator, recently announced the formation of American Polycarbonate Company (APC).
Kurt Voss, CEO of the AmeriLux Family of Companies, said this joint venture will manufacture polycarbonate sheets at AmeriLux’s new 500,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution center in De Pere – starting in early 2026.
“Simply put, we are chasing our potential,” he said. “This joint venture is a testament to the strength of family-owned businesses partnering for mutual success and sustainable progress.”
Voss said not only will APC enhance AmeriLux’s ability to supply polycarbonate sheets produced in the United States, it also reinforces the company’s commitment to building lasting relationships with customers, employees and the community.
“This is the definition of a win-win,” he said.
Voss said APC combines AmeriLux’s distribution, fabrication and logistics expertise with Brett Martin’s 60 years of sheet extrusion experience to meet rising demand for high-quality building materials, faster lead times and efficient domestic supply chains.
APC, he said, will produce polycarbonate sheets for construction, agriculture, horticulture, data processing and architecture.
Initial production, Voss said, will focus on multiwall and corrugated sheets in a range of gauges and specifications, with plans to expand operations and invest in research and development to create new products that meet evolving market demands.
Both family-founded, privately held companies, Voss said, share values of integrity, long-term thinking and sustainable growth.
Paul Martin, group director of Brett Martin Ltd., said by uniting its technical extrusion expertise with AmeriLux’s customer-centric distribution model, they are creating a platform that delivers innovative, high-quality products while upholding shared values.
“This joint venture marks our commitment to long-term engagement in the U.S. market and a recognition that dedicated local manufacturing and service provides the optimum package for American customers,” he said.
