DE PERE – The nonprofit Dairy Cares of Wisconsin has raised $440,000 on behalf of the Children’s Wisconsin health system during its 2023 campaign.
That amount represents the second-best year in Dairy Care’s 13-year fundraising history, behind only 2022.
With that success, Jim Ostrom, Dairy Cares committee chairman, said it also brought the campaign significantly closer to the $3 million milestone – Dairy Cares’ lifetime fundraising now stands at just shy of $2.8 million.
Since 2010, Dairy Cares has united dairy industry professionals, other agricultural leaders, affiliated industries and like-minded individuals who support the groundbreaking medical advancements and efforts of Children’s.
“Our organizing committee, volunteers, sponsors and donors continue to step up year after year in a meaningful way,” Ostrom said. “They all share a commitment to a cause – helping vulnerable kids – that is bigger than any one of us.”
Meg Brzyski Nelson, president of the Children’s Wisconsin Foundation, said the dedication and generosity of Dairy Cares helps Children’s Wisconsin provide life-changing care for kids and families in Northeast Wisconsin.
“All of us at Children’s Wisconsin are extremely grateful for their continued support,” she said. “It’s an amazing accomplishment to have raised $440,000 this year.”
