LEDGEVIEW – Glossed Beauty in Ledgeview opened last month, joining a growing trend of beauty collectives that bring multiple beauty businesses under one roof.
Beyond launching their own salon, Co-owners Callie Meisner and Danielle Annarumma said they have brought several independent beauty businesses into the space, creating what Annarumma describes as a “beauty collective.”
Located on Dickinson Road in Ledgeview, Annarumma said the building is home to nine independent beauty businesses, including nail technicians, a massage therapist, lash stylists and makeup artists.
She said the salon aims to blend a luxury experience with a welcoming, approachable atmosphere.
“Other than our two rooms – where our massage therapist and two lash artists are – it’s an open-concept salon,” she said. “So, when you walk in, it looks like everyone is an employee, but we are all individual businesses, acting as a collective salon.”
Annarumma said she and Meisner – both Green Bay-area natives – spent several years working together as independent contractors at another salon before opening Glossed Beauty.
“I have been in the industry for 11 years now, and Callie has been in it for about 14 years,” she said. “We have worked very closely, doing a lot of bridal parties and a ton of weddings. Callie, since she was little, has always wanted to own a salon, and once I got into the industry, I knew it was my end goal also.”
When the owner of the salon where they worked began considering retirement, Annarumma said she and Meisner started pursuing their long-held goal of business ownership.
After finding a site for the salon, Annarumma said construction began in November 2025.
“We wanted to create a space that the Green Bay and De Pere area hasn’t really seen yet,” she said. “We were seeing some higher-end salon collectives in Milwaukee, Manitowoc and other places, and we wanted to create that here, but with a more inviting atmosphere.”
Annarumma said the salon blends upscale amenities with a laid-back atmosphere, creating what she describes as a more approachable take on the luxury spa experience.
“So, you’re getting a head massage or a neck or hand massage with your service here, for example,” she said. “It’s still an upscale environment, but we really wanted to go for the cozy, warm vibe where everybody feels welcomed.”
Filling up quickly
Annarumma said the beauty collective model appeals to many independent beauty professionals seeking a more collaborative work environment than the often solitary nature of salon and spa work.
She said the building filled quickly through social media, word-of-mouth referrals and interest from beauty professionals who watched the Dickinson Road project take shape during construction.
“The space offers an environment where the girls can thrive,” she said. “Everybody gets along. Everybody lifts each other up.”
Annarumma said she’s seen a shift in the beauty industry in recent years, with more independent contractors seeking collaborative work environments rather than operating entirely on their own.
“Now, more people in the industry want to have that community and have a space where they’re independent but also have other people around them to talk to,” she said.
Annarumma said the 2,000-square-foot facility features two floors, which house eight salon stations, two rooms for massage and lashes and two nail desks.
The owners said they have three salon stations yet to fill.
Annarumma said an open house celebrating the salon’s grand opening May 8 drew an estimated 250-300 attendees.
She said interest has also come from people who noticed the building during construction and later reached out to learn more about the salon and its services.
“There has been a lot of word of mouth – from even the workers at Best Built [Inc.], who helped build the salon for us,” she said. “It has been a really wonderful response from our community and from our clients.”

Annarumma said the collection of beauty businesses at Glossed Beauty allows for a client to make a spa day of it if they like.
“We have a lot of people who tell us, ‘It’s so nice – I can just come here to get everything done,’” she said.
Annarumma said their stand-alone business, also called Glossed Beauty, is a full-service hair salon that offers bridal makeup and nail services as well.
She said the salon employs three people and offers a range of hair services, including cuts, conditioning treatments, full color, highlights and lowlights, balayage and lived-in color, gray coverage and extensions.
A balancing act
Annarumma – mom to a six-, three- and one-year-old – and Meisner – mom to a 10-, three- and one-year-old – said they balance entrepreneurship with their role as mothers.
“They come in all the time,” Annarumma said. “They love to be at the salon. They love the girls at the salon, too. It’s awesome.”
Now that the dust has settled from Glossed Beauty’s grand opening, Annarumma said she and Meisner want to host other promotions throughout the year.
“We plan on having sales twice a year and doing more events with the community, possibly collaborating with other area small businesses,” she said.
Annarumma said social media marketing has played a key role in attracting attention, creating a strong response for the new business.
“We’ve done a couple of giveaways on Instagram and Facebook, and it has reached thousands of people, so that’s our main go-to right now,” she said.
Glossed Beauty is open Monday through Saturday with varying hours.
