Prevea Health now offering midwifery care in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN – Prevea Sheboygan Health Center (1411 N. Taylor Drive) is now offering midwifery care with the recent hiring of Elizabeth Collis, a certified nurse-midwife.

In addition to providing routine care for women of  all ages, Collis provides midwifery care, pregnancy care, labor and delivery support and care at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, medication management and lactation and breastfeeding counseling and support.

“I believe the best care is delivered when shared decision-making is utilized and choices are made together, in a collaborative relationship, between myself and my patients,” Collis said.

With certified nurse-midwifery now available in Sheboygan, women can have their labor and delivery managed by a certified nurse-midwife within the safety and comfort of Prevea’s partner hospital – HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.
