GREEN BAY – HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval¬Æ for Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care (ACPC), in collaboration with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Ken Nelson, chief nursing officer at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, said the certification from the commission – the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care – underscores the high-quality care the hospital provides to women and babies before, during and after birth.

“We take a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach and follow best practices to ensure the best possible experiences and outcomes for our patients,” he said.

Nelson said HSHS St. Vincent Hospital underwent a rigorous onsite review in February as part of the certification process.

Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care recognizes HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s efforts to achieve integrated, coordinated and patient-centered prenatal through postpartum care, including for both complicated and uncomplicated pregnancies.
