TWO RIVERS – After what KeepIt Photo Booth Co-owner Bonny Coupar described as a “pretty slow” initial year in operation, 2025 has been nothing but picturesque for the event service business.
“We had to get the word out, but we had a pretty exciting year this year,” she said. “The first year we didn’t [book] any weddings, but in 2025, we actually got into the wedding scene – which was really exciting.”
Though she welcomes growth afforded by the wedding industry, Coupar said KeepIt – an open-air photo booth business offering an array of packages for events across Northeast Wisconsin – is an all-inclusive service.
“We don’t want to just do weddings,” she said. “Lincoln High School in Manitowoc [has] been hiring us since we started. So, we’ve done their proms, and we’ve done their homecoming the past two years we’ve been in business, and, I have to say, they’re probably one of our favorite events – the kids are just amazing [and] it’s so much fun.”
Coupar said her priority in establishing KeepIt is to provide personalized keepsakes for all kinds of “life’s most precious celebrations.”
“It is absolutely an honor, and I take pride in it,” she said. “We’ve done baby showers, class reunions, weddings, proms and homecomings… and [I love] to see the smile on people’s faces when that picture comes out.”
Package options
As opposed to other photo booth options – “it’s not an iPad on a stand” – Coupar said she specifically sought out equipment that doesn’t appear unprofessional or too bulky.
“So, it’s not something that would be aesthetically hard on the eyes at any event – it’s a really nice looking photo booth,” she said. “Then, we also get different backdrops, so people can pick which backdrop they want to match their party.”
If a customer isn’t finding a backdrop they feel complements their event, Coupar said she and her husband/fellow co-owner, Christoph, are always willing to create custom orders.
“I always tell my customers if [what we have doesn’t match] your vibe for your event, just let me know and I can order something,” she said. “Then, also, we do have… all different types of theme props.”
Coupar said the quality of their equipment, opportunities for customization and her attention to detail are what make KeepIt Photo Booth a “premium service.”
“We really pride ourselves in that premium experience, and our prices kind of reflect that,” she said.

Per keepitphotobooth.com, the KeepIt Photo Booth team arrives 60-90 minutes prior to an event’s commencement to install their equipment.
Additionally, Coupar said KeepIt offers a wide variety of packages and service add-ons to fulfill every fathomable need of their clientele.
“We do have a digital-only package… [where] people can share the photos in real time via text message, email…, a QR code – it’s really state-of-the-art,” she said. “[For] our print packages, the print will come out automatically, instantly, but they also can share [the photos] digitally.”
On the KeepIt Photo Booth website, Coupar said potential clientele can find three packages – the KeepIt Cool, KeepIt Real and KeepIt Going – all of which include:
- Setup/breakdown
- Professional onsite attendant
- Unlimited digital photos with instant sharing
- Backdrop of your choice
- Curated, high-quality props to match your theme/event
“If people want, we can even [include] surveys in the photo booth,” she said. “So, it’s not only for taking pictures because businesses can also gather information [and] conduct surveys.”
KeepIt’s digital-only package, Coupar said, is its most inexpensive, with the cost increasing from there.
“Once we get into the print packaging, I have to take into consideration all the printing, because I allow unlimited prints during the event,” she said. “It’s not like you come to the photo booth and you get one picture – you can keep coming back all night and getting a printout.”
Creative customization
Coupar said KeepIt is a passion project she pursues alongside her full-time work as a respiratory therapist.
“I am lucky, actually, [that] I have a pretty set schedule, so I’m off on the weekends, [and] I’m able to be there and be booked for those celebrations,” she said. “I haven’t had [anyone inquire yet about an event] on a Sunday or a Monday – although that’s not out of the question. We certainly could work around something like that, but the weekends are pretty much when people are celebrating.”
Coupar said a major factor in her decision to launch KeepIt was the creative outlet offered by its custom keepsake model.
“I’m all about customization,” she said. “We have a printer so you get instant prints, and [the customer] gets to essentially tell me ideas [and] how to design their template.”
Coupar said she personally designs each photo strip layout with the help of customer suggestions.
“I design everything on Canva,” she said. “I just communicate with them, and together, we design something beautiful that prints right out, and this is a keepsake that the guests of the life celebration get to take with them when they leave.”

Despite his full-time role at Bartow Builders in Manitowoc, Coupar said Christoph attends every event with her, helping ensure the setup is both smooth and safe.
“We have studio lighting, a professional-grade DSLR camera… and everything matches,” she said. “I did a lot of research, and I found a company I trust… So, I bought it from a company as a package deal, I got some software and I just started teaching myself how to run the software. Then, obviously, I taught myself how to customize templates on Canva.”
KeepIt Photo Booth, Coupar said, is an end-to-end event service committed to providing customers with not only the highest-quality keepsakes possible, but a memorable experience courtesy of her unwillingness to accept anything but perfection.
“When we do a photo booth, we don’t just drop it off and leave,” she said. “We stay there, and we make sure that everything is working [so] there are no hiccups – every picture is perfect.”
Approaching her third year in business, Coupar said operating KeepIt has come with steep learning curves as a first-time entrepreneur.
“It’s hard getting started,” she said. “This is my first entrepreneurial venture, and I’ve realized there’s a lot of patience in it, too – a lot of learning and a lot of patience – and I’m willing to do that because there is a level of satisfaction in the creativity part of the business. I enjoy it, so I don’t feel like I’m working.”
