More than 170 warnings issued during Frogger events

BROWN COUNTY – Wello partnered with local law enforcement for two educational “Yield to Your Neighbor Frogger” countywide events thus far for 2023. 

Stationed at various locations throughout the Brown County area, officers stopped vehicles for failing to follow the law of yielding to pedestrians, state statute 346.24 (1), which resulted in warnings and/or tickets at the officer’s discretion.

Here are the combined results from all locations across the first two events for 2023: 
Warnings Issued – 174 Vehicles yielding correctly – 1,332  Compliance rate – 88.5%
The third and final Frogger event for this year will take place Oct. 4, which coincides with
National Walk and Roll to School Day.
